Hi, I am Olga and I am an artist based in Paris, France. I create paintings based on stories and worlds that I come up with. Want to know what inspired this particular piece? Keep on reading!

The original artwork was chosen for the Weekly Selection curated by Artmajeur.

The story behind the 2021 Chocolate Dino-Girl painting:

In an alternative Universe, the Earth was not hit by a giant meteor and as a result, the dinosaurs never went extinct. Instead, they evolved into Dino Sapient whose artistic culture runs in parallel with ours.

This is the dinosaur universe's version of The Chocolate Girl (La Belle Chocolatière or Das Schokoladenmädchen), the best known work of the 18th century Genevan artist Jean-Étienne Liotard. The model is a young velociraptor who could be mistaken for an unusually petite tyrannosaurus rex.

About the Artist

Olga is a painter who draws inspiration from the fantastical worlds living inside her head: whether it is a parallel universe where the sapient life descended from dinosaurs rather than apes, or a land inhabited by mischievous lemurs, each artwork's characters come with their own story to tell.

Olga lives and works in her home in Paris, France that she shares with two furry assistants, of feline and canine variety.
